What we collect
The site has no accounts, forms or comments. We collect two things:
- Usage statistics. Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived. It sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart.
- Server logs. Our web server records IP address, time, page or episode file requested and browser type, to keep the site running and stop abuse.
Why
To see which episodes people listen to and to keep the site working. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for targeted ads.
Who receives it
Google, as our analytics provider. Episode audio and video are also published on Spotify and YouTube; their own privacy policies apply when you use those services.
Your choices
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics does not load at all.
- You can also block cookies in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California), you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We will not treat you differently for asking. You or an authorized agent can send a request to justin@willhitestrategy.com. We will confirm the request and reply within 45 days.
Retention
Google Analytics keeps this data for up to 14 months. Server logs are rotated and deleted regularly, and kept no longer than 90 days.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes.
